Alloy
3002-- In 1998 Meyer completed development of
alloy 3002. This alloy can maintain a specular bright finish with a total reflectivity
of 80% or greater (after bright dip and anodize).
Alloy 1002 is
a unique alloy that is only produced by Meyer. This alloy is lower
cost alloy than 3002 but can maintain semi-specular finish with a
65% minimum total reflectivity after bright dip and anodize.

Alloy
1100-- Meyer
has been producing alloy 1100 for over 40 years. It is suitable for
bare finish or diffuse anodize finish application.
Special
Anodize Quality-- Meyer
produces 2 grades of anodize quality material. SG-1 is the highest
available quality for the most critical anodize applications. Our
SG-1 product is tightly controlled for consistent mill finish with
no streaks or scratches. SG-2 is the middle grade for lighting applications.
It is generally suitable for architectural and recessed lighting.
Note that our SG-3 surface quality is our standard product but is
generally acceptable for high bay industrial lighting.
Hydroforming Applications-- Meyer
has developed a special quality grade for hydroforming and extra deep
draw applications that is called MG-1. This MG-1 specially controls
earing to less than 3% and is guaranteed to have extra fine grain.
Earing and grain size are generally considered the most important
factors in producing good quality material for hydroforming applications.
Meyer does the extra mile by doing earing tests on each coil produced
by the mill whenever MG-1 is specified.
